Operator and nature of the service

RICAORA is a free and independent personal project operated by Andrea Barberio. It does not provide accounts, subscriptions, payments or advertising.

Purpose of the service

RICAORA provides informational simulations of charging time, energy, cost and range. It is not a measuring system, safety-navigation service, booking service or payment system.

Estimates and vehicle data

Results depend on available data, selected conditions and real-world factors that may not be known: temperature, battery condition, charging curve, charging station, grid, losses and vehicle limits. Capacity, power, consumption and range figures are indicative technical data derived from publicly available sources and may vary by version, market, software update and conditions of use. Always verify information supplied by the vehicle manufacturer and charging operator.

Charging stations and external services

Station location, availability, power, connectors, prices and access may be incomplete or outdated. Before travelling, verify the information through the operator’s app or website.

Licences and attribution

Charging-station data come from Open Charge Map and the relevant data providers. RICAORA requests records marked as open data and displays the applicable provider and licence information from the original record. User-contributed Open Charge Map data are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International licence (CC BY 4.0); provider-specific licences remain applicable. Map data are © OpenStreetMap contributors under the terms published by the project.

Trade marks and no affiliation

Vehicle manufacturers’ and model names and trade marks belong to their respective owners and are used solely to identify vehicles compatible with the informational functions of the service. RICAORA is independent and is not affiliated with, approved or sponsored by vehicle manufacturers, charging operators or data providers unless expressly stated otherwise.

Responsible use

Do not use the service while driving. RICAORA does not replace vehicle instruments, official road directions or compatibility and safety checks.

Availability

The service may be changed, suspended or updated without any guarantee of uninterrupted availability.

Limitation of liability

RICAORA estimates and information are for informational purposes only and do not guarantee charging time, cost, range, availability or compatibility. Users remain responsible for verifying vehicle, charging-station and operator information before making decisions or beginning a journey.

To the extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from exclusive reliance on estimates, service unavailability or inaccurate, incomplete or outdated information supplied by external services. This clause does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from wilful misconduct or gross negligence.

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the service or applicable law. The update date on this page identifies the applicable version.
